DESCRIPTION
"Kioku", a large scale, triangular ceramic sculpture sits in a landscaped recess facing the Pacific Asia Museum. The 1,200 pound, hand-built and glazed ceramic sculpture intentionally fills the space. Under a clear glaze, black slip covers its upper half and intricately drips down over the white slip base. Floating over and parting through the interlocking black and white, a gold-banded edge with a "strike line" of feathered red, extends over its crown from midpoint front and back.
