Memorial Flagpole

DESCRIPTION

Designed by artist Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue, Pasadena's Memorial Flagpole was dedicated on February 12, 1927 in memory of Pasadena's residents who served in World War I. At its base, the one hundred and fifteen foot tall pole displays the names of those Pasadenans who gave their lives in the war and remembers them with the inscription: "In Proved Remembrance of Our Glorious Dead MCMXVIII."
