Vital Records Public Counter & Cashier Services Closures
- Friday, August 14 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Closed
- Wednesday, September 2 from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.: Closed
Important: No in-person birth or death certificate services will be available during the public counter closures listed above.
Information for Funeral Homes & Medical Facilities
- Death records registration and filing (EDRS / FDRM) processing times: Requests received before 4 p.m. (3 p.m. on open Fridays) will be reviewed same-day.
- Please submit requests early to allow sufficient time for will-call pickups.

In an effort to support residents affected by the fires, Pasadena Public Health Department has waived fees for replacing birth and death certificates lost as a result of the disaster. Applicants may sign a sworn statement to qualify.
