The Environmental Health public counter is closed, but the Division continues to function to meet the needs of our businesses and community.

Plan Review

  • Submit plans and revisions in the drop-off bin at the Pasadena Public Health Department entrance located at 1845 N. Fair Oaks.  The Plan Check Application must be completed and attached securely to the plans.  To request a Plan Check Application contact our office.  A link to pay the plan review fee is sent within two business days to the email address written on the application.
  • Request a plan review inspection by calling the Environmental Health office or by contacting the plan review inspector directly.  Inspections are conducted with the applicant only. No additional persons (customers, employees, residents, etc.) should be present.

Health Permit Application

  • Contact the office during business hours to request the Health Permit Application.  Submit to envhealth@cityofpasadena.net and ensure to provide all necessary information:
  • Complete all fields on the application
  • Only the owner of the business, or a member of the corporation or limited liability company may sign
  • Provide a copy of the driver’s license for the owner
  • Provide the Articles of Incorporation or the LLC documents and include a list of all members
    • You will be instructed to pay for the health permit at the Department’s cashier window once all paperwork is received
    • You will receive your health permit in the mail after the payment is made

Sharps Containers are now available at the cashier window.  Pasadena residents may request one container with proof of residency.

Complaints

Environmental Health continues to investigate public health complaints related to food handling, vermin, smoking, lead hazards, and general sanitation concerns.  Submit complaints directly by calling (626) 744-6004, through the Citizen Service Center by calling (626) 744-7311, or by visiting https://www.cityofpasadena.net/CSC.
