When to seek emergency care
- If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19, you should get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include:
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion
- Inability to be roused/awakened
- Bluish lips or face
Isolation and Quarantine
- If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or been told by a clinician that you are presumed to be positive, you are required to isolate yourself at home.
- Regardless of the outcome of your test, if you had close contact with someone who has or is likely to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days, you are required to quarantine yourself at home.
Call 911 if you have a medical emergency: Notify the operator that you have, or think you might have, COVID-19.
If possible, put on a cloth face covering before medical help arrives.
ChapCare Health Center
Diagnostic testing at ChapCare’s Kathryn Barger Health Center is available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., to anyone who wants to be tested for COVID-19. Uninsured individuals who get tested at ChapCare will have their tests paid for by the state. If an individual has medical insurance, Optum will bill the patient’s medical insurance company.

The CVS located at 3883 E. Foothill Blvd. is offering drive-thru COVID-19 testing to all those experiencing symptoms and individuals 65 and older, or who have chronic, underlying health conditions. CVS’s online assessment can help you determine if you meet testing criteria. Appointments are required and can be scheduled at CVS.com. When you arrive, remain in your car. You will be directed to a window, where you will receive a test kit with instructions for self-swabbing. Insurance is accepted, and there should be no out-of-pocket costs; however, you should check with your insurance provider before scheduling a test. If you do not have insurance, bring your Social Security number (card not needed), driver’s license or state ID with you.

Exer Urgent Care
Exer Urgent Care, located at 3160 E. Del Mar Blvd., Suite 110, also offers COVID-19 testing to all those experiencing symptoms and individuals 65 and older, or who have chronic, underlying health conditions. Appointments are not necessary; however, testing is only available for patients who have been screened and received a testing referral from a provider through VirtualCare by Exer or at one of their clinics. Colorado Blvd., Suite 120, offers COVID-19 testing by appointment ONLY to those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, Monday through Sunday, 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. Carbon Health provides a free COVID-19 online assessment and virtual telemedicine to discuss symptoms and determine if you qualify for COVID-19 testing.
