Information for Funeral Homes & Medical Facilities
- Death records registration and filing (EDRS / FDRM) processing times: Requests received before 4 p.m. (3 p.m. on open Fridays) will be reviewed same-day.
- Please submit requests early to allow sufficient time for will-call pickups.

In an effort to support residents affected by the fires, Pasadena Public Health Department has waived fees for replacing birth and death certificates lost as a result of the disaster. Applicants may sign a sworn statement to qualify.
Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health
Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Program assures the priority health needs of women, infants, children, adolescents, and their families through free services including linkages and connections to programs and referrals, safe sleep education, child passenger safety, developmental milestones, and more. The program also is responsible for assessing and developing policies, conducting needs assessments, and sharing local data.
Black Infant Health
Within a culturally affirming environment and honoring the unique history of African-American women, Black Infant Health (BIH) aims to help women have healthy babies. Participants learn proven strategies to reduce stress and develop life skills. This is accomplished through a group-based approach with complimentary case management.
HIPPY
The Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) Program is an evidence-based, FREE kindergarten readiness home visiting program for parents of 2 and 5 years of old. The goal of Pasadena HIPPY is to improve children’s physical, social and emotional development, and increase parents’ confidence to prepare their children for success in school.
Women, Infants, & Children
Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) helps families with women and/or children who are at nutritional risk by providing nutrition education and food coupons.
Local Oral Health Program
The Pasadena Local Oral Health Program (LOHP) is funded by the Proposition 56 Tobacco Tax Act of 2016. The goal of the LOHP is to improve oral health by providing professionals and community members with education about oral health and dental disease prevention, and linkage to treatment of dental disease. Lead Poisoning Prevention & Control
The Pasadena Public Health Department’s Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention (CLPP) Program seeks to protect children from lead exposure.
Health Insurance Enrollment
The Pasadena Public Health Department seeks to reduce the number of uninsured children and families, and improve the overall health of Pasadena residents by providing access to care. Our health insurance outreach program helps enroll single adults, families, pregnant women, and children in health insurance programs.
