The Brenner Park Playground Improvement Project provides for the planning and design of new playground play structures, and the installation of a new rubberized play surface for increased safety and ADA compliance.
The existing playground equipment at Brenner Park was installed in 2009. The equipment has since become obsolete and has less play value than the new equipment installed at other parks. The replacement of the play equipment will provide a play environment of consistent quality with those recently installed at McDonald Park, Desiderio Park, and the new Playhouse Village Park. In addition, the new rubberized play surface will increase and enhance ADA accessibility and compliance.

The City is committed to creating public spaces that reflect the needs and desires of our residents. As part of the playground development process, we hosted three public meetings and conducted an online survey to gather input from the community.
Based on the feedback received, our design team developed preliminary playground concepts, which were presented at the public meeting held on August 26, 2023. Following additional input and refinement, the final concept plans were shared with the community during the meeting on December 7, 2024.
We appreciate the community’s active participation and look forward to bringing this exciting new playground to the community.
