Contractor began construction of the west abutment, and forming and placing steel (rebar) for the exterior girders and spandrel arches. Construction work is transitioning from construction of sub-structure components to that of super-structure components. This includes the architectural items that will be very visible in the completed product, such as the exterior girders and spandrel arches.
