Construction of the East Abutment and associated items are completed. This completes the construction of the various sub-structure components of the bridge. Construction of the bridge superstructure continues. Forms for the bridge soffit (bottom or underside of the box girder) have been placed, and the steel rebar and duct for the pre-stressing strands are being installed. The next large concrete pour will be the placement of the cast in place concrete for the box girder-stem and soffit is expected to occur in mid-September.
