Los Angeles County residents can visit the S.A.F.E Collection Centers (Solvents/Automotive/Flammables/Electronics) maintained by the City of Los Angeles for free Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste disposal. Visit the S.A.F.E. Center website for collection center locations and more information. Small businesses can also find information on their page about options for disposal through their Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) program.

Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts partner with various cities to host frequent one-day collection events. These events are open to all Los Angeles County residents. Visit their Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste Program website for a list of upcoming events.

Additional Document Shredding Locations

Many office supply and shipping retail stores nationwide offer secure shredding services to individuals. The City of Pasadena cannot endorse any specific retail establishment and residents are encouraged to do research on the certifications and processes used at each location.
