The City of Pasadena will suspend the overnight parking restriction from the night of December 23rd through the morning of January 3rd. During this time you will not need a permit to park overnight on the street. All other parking restrictions will be enforced. Enforcement of the overnight parking restriction will resume on the morning of January 4th.
On June 21, 2018 the City of Pasadena enhanced its scofflaw enforcement program with the introduction of SmartBooting for vehicles with five or more outstanding parking citations.
Before adding booting to its scofflaw enforcement, the City would tow vehicles with five or more parking violations to one of three impound lots. Going forward, an identified vehicle could have a SmartBoot immobilization device attached by a Pasadena Department of Transportation officer. The SmartBoot weighs approximately 16 pounds and has an electronic keypad that may be unlocked by the motorist after payment is made.

You can contact the PayLock Boot Release line to make payment over the phone. The number is 855-288-2642. Once you make payment, PayLock will provide you with a code and instructions on how to remove the boot.
