
District 7 Councilmember Jason Lyon was elected on June 7, 2022. He is a member of the Council’s Municipal Services, Economic Development and Technology, and Housing , Homelessness, and Planning committees, as well as the ad hoc committee on the development of the former 710 stub. Jason also serves on the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority and as the Mayor’s alternate to the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments.
A Pasadena resident since 2010, Jason lives and works in our beautiful city. He is a partner with the historic law firm, Hahn & Hahn, where he practices business litigation with an emphasis in partnership disputes. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Motion Pictures. He worked as a documentary film producer in New York before moving to Southern California in 1998. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from the UCLA School of Law, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
In addition to serving on the boards of several area nonprofits, Jason has held a variety of positions in public service. Prior to his election to the City Council, he was the Chair of the Pasadena Planning Commission.
Jason lives in the Madison Heights neighborhood with his husband, the Reverend Tim Hartley, and their two sons.
