The City of Pasadena City Prosecutor’s Office is pleased to provide free & confidential Community Mediation to the residents and and businesses of our City. Both parties must live or work in the City of Pasadena.
Mediation is a process in which a neutral third party facilitates communication between parties to resolve their differences. It is a great option for individuals or businesses seeking alternatives to the traditional justice system. The process is completely voluntary, and each mediation is tailored to the parties’ specific issues and goals.
In mediation, a neutral mediator assists disputing parties in resolving conflicts through the use of specialized communication and negotiation techniques. Through this process, mediators help guide parties toward mutually agreeably resolutions, and oftentimes assist in restoring peace and harmony, and re-building relationships.
Please note that this program is not available if there is pending litigation or there has already been court involvement regarding the issue. This program also does not include eviction or landlord/tenant disputes. For help resolving these types of disputes, please contact the Housing Rights Center at 800-477-5977 or https://www.housingrightscenter.org.
The City of Pasadena City Prosecutor’s Office retains the right to decline any requested mediation based on work demands or other reasons.
